Socializing is the ability for individuals to be able to realistically and easily make substantial social contributions through their daily lives. Recently, there has been a change in values and attitudes toward affluence, and a growing number of people wish to help others and make a contribution to society, yet, few turn these feelings into action. This may be caused by certain negative images toward social contribution, viewing them as “troublesome,” “tough,” “burdensome,” or “uncool”. In some cultures, people may even worry about how other people view their involvement in such activities.

People commonly think of social contributions and imagine activities such as donations, fundraising, volunteer cleanup, or natural disaster recovery efforts, and may be unaware of other ways they can make contributions to society. We believe that in Japan, there is a lack of solution to easily execute people’s desires to want to help others and contribute to society. It is necessary to change the image of social contribution and increase ways for people to easily contribute to society, reasonably, within the framework of their own lifestyles. We believe now is the time when the concept of “socializing” has become a necessity in order to achieve this. We aim to realize a sustainable society beyond our generation by helping individuals, companies, and other organizations adopt lifestyles which embody “socializing.”

TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET embodies “socializing” by focusing on five elements – ENVIRONMENT, LOCAL FIRST, DIVERSITY, HEALTH, and CULTURE. We will provide sustainable and tasteful methods of contributing to society enabling everyone to fully put into action their desire to “help others and society”.
